YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

You will oversee and manage Agnico’s Canadian supply chain operations, including operational buying, inventory management, item master management, and supporting warehousing functions at our mine sites. You will also support international sites as required.

This role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of products and services. Collaboration with stakeholders at each mine, regional/corporate personnel, and Inuit and First Nations communities will be essential to ensure seamless supply chain processes.

You will ensure the team performs in line with all department policies, standards, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
  • Oversee procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
  • Optimize inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Collaborate with other departments for seamless integration of supply chain processes
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics for continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards
  • Drive improvement in supplier performance to meet delivery expectations
  • Minimize supplier costs for in/off contract purchases
  • Maintain a central repository of audit-related information
  • Review audit results and ensure implementation of recommendations
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience
  • Procurement/supply chain training and certification (asset)
  • +10 years experience in an industrial or heavy industry setting (mining experience is an asset)
  • Cultural awareness and experience working with Indigenous communities/businesses
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP software (JDE / SAP)
  • Fluency in English; ability to speak/write French is an asset

  • Locations: Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Sudbury, North Bay, Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda, Toronto, Mirabel
  • Travel: Up to 40% to sites, offices, and suppliers
