Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc. is seeking a Director, Retail Sales - Metro to drive profitability and growth in the Metro retail channel across Ontario, Quebec and related banners.

Reporting to the VP, Retail Sales, the role leads national accounts, develops annual plans, oversees forecasts, builds relationships with key customers and advances branded and private label products. Some travel to Montréal may be required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual preferred.
• University Degree or College Diploma with minimum 5–7 years of industry experience.
• Experience in Protein industry preferred.
• Previous experience calling on Metro a benefit.
• Ability to travel (Montreal, QU).

Responsibilities

• To achieve annual volume and margins targets supporting Retail Sales.
• The Sales Director will have direct responsibility with the National Account Managers with the goal of driving incremental distribution and volume.
• Develop the annual business plan in support of annual goals and objectives.
• Oversee forecasting for all Metro banners.
• Develop and establish key business relationships taking the business to the next level and aiming at driving profitable volumes in support of both Branded and Private label products.
• Develop and execute an aggressive merchandising support plan for all existing and new proprietary products, maximizing advertising and promotional activity.
• Development of customer proposals including new product proposals, business reviews.
• Prepare and present monthly business updates and plans to the VP, Retail Sales & CCO

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, Retail Sales, the Director, Retail Sales - Metro is responsible for identifying opportunities for maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within retail market segment. The Director, Retail Sales, will oversee all Metro retail banners including Metro Ontario, Metro Quebec, Food Basics (On) and Super C (Que) & continue to manage head-office customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Posting Range:

• Hiring Range: CAD $120,100 - $170,100
• Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 17.5% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.
• Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
