Position Overview :

Under the direction of the Executive Vice-President, the Director of Quality oversees the administration of the Quality Branch, including the Security Department, and manages the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Program to ensure compliance with the Company Quality Policy.

What You Will Do :
  1. Provide overall management and leadership for the Quality Branch, including responsibilities such as:
  2. Maintaining the Quality Program Manual;
  3. Product Support;
  4. Procedure Evaluations and Compliance;
  5. Product-Oriented Procedure Evaluations;
  6. Quality Records;
  7. Quality Cost Analysis;
  8. Vendor Surveys and Audits;
  9. Subcontractor Surveys and Audits;
  10. Preparation and maintenance of Quality Bulletins;
  11. Preparation and maintenance of Quality System Procedures;
  12. Material Review Boards;
  13. Warranty Review Boards;
  14. Failure Analysis;
  15. Developing, maintaining, and implementing procedures to compare material, facilities, work processes, and personnel skills with established standards;
  16. Liaising with functional managers to resolve technical problems;
  17. Preparing reports and correspondence for internal and external distribution;
  18. Managing the Internal Quality Audit System;
  19. Liaising with Customer Representatives on Quality matters;
  20. Carrying out functions of the Director of Quality as per the division's quality program documentation;
  21. Maintaining organization and personnel performance records;
  22. Performing other duties as delegated by the EVP.
What You Will Bring :
  1. Graduate Engineer, Technologist, or equivalent training and experience;
  2. 7-10 years of management experience in R&D / Manufacturing, with at least 5 years in Quality Control / Quality Assurance;
  3. Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures related to the Aerospace Industry;
  4. Strong background in Aerospace Quality, familiar with ISO 9000, AS9100, Transport Canada CARs, and concepts of Continuous Improvement and TQM;
  5. Ability to lead effectively and communicate clearly at all levels;
  6. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
  7. Experience working in a team environment;
  8. Preference given to candidates with Aerospace Industry experience;
  9. Eligibility to meet requirements for ITAR and CGP, and ability to pass and maintain a Level II (Secret) security clearance.
