Introduction
The Projects Management branch is responsible for the successful and timely delivery of complex and high priority capital projects from project inception through contract closeout. This branch is responsible for the coordination/scheduling, administration, oversight and project management of the department’s capital program including the delivery of engineering design, construction management, right-of-way and financial management. Projects Management branch works in collaboration with branches and regions in Infrastructure Capital Projects; Engineering and Technical Services; and Transportation and Operations Divisions.
Duties:
As a member of the department’s management team, the Director is responsible to lead and manage the Projects Management branch overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of projects. The Director leads a team of project management professionals and provides strategic oversight and direction for a portfolio of infrastructure capital projects, ensuring projects are delivered as per the defined project scope, on schedule and within budget. The Director monitors projects and portfolios to ensure compliance with project standards, and reports to senior leadership on progress and performance of the project portfolio.
