Role Overview

ARCO Design/Build is seeking an experienced procurement professional ready to create their own organization and systems to drive value, consistency, and strategic partnerships in a growing design and construction firm. This role can be located in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston, or any other ADB location.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Develop a procurement process to standardize best practices in purchasing materials and subcontractors
  • Train managers on value-driven procurement processes
  • Create negotiation tactics for win-win contracts
  • Manage project-specific templates, reports, and tools
  • Assist in negotiating corporate agreements
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Develop systems to identify suitable partners
  • Drive measurable value improvements
  • Coordinate negotiations with suppliers on over 300 projects annually
  • Conduct market research and monitor supplier performance
  • Analyze procurement data for decision-making
  • Build relationships with supplier executives for pricing and supply trend insights
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, construction, or business management
  • 10-15 years of experience in supply chain logistics or construction purchasing
  • Experience in supplier quality management and material management
  • Proficiency in purchase order processes from prequalification to dispute resolution
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking and persuade with facts
