Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Director, Business Delivery to lead a national team driving process management, knowledge management and operational excellence across Canada Operations. The role reports to the Vice-President, Shared Services and focuses on governance, measurement and scalable workflows.

The successful candidate will guide automation initiatives, AI-enabled knowledge strategies and risk-aware improvements while maintaining strong service delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in operational excellence or shared services.
• Experience leading large or dispersed teams through change and modernization.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and regulatory expectations in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead a national, geographically dispersed team for process management and quality.
• Establish unified vision and governance for process excellence and knowledge management.
• Partner with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal and project teams to assess impacts and controls.
• Translate strategy into sustainable processes, procedures and adoption plans.
• Advance end-to-end process management by harmonizing processes, tools and reporting.
• Establish governance, metrics and reporting for quality and outcomes.
• Lead evolution from document-focused to integrated knowledge and workflow solutions.
• Share technology and process solutions across business units.
• Prepare readiness for automation and AI-enabled workflows with proper controls.
• Advise senior leaders and align delivery with evolving needs.
• Optimize resources to maintain reliable day-to-day service delivery.
• Coach and develop managers and employees toward accountability and collaboration.
