The role focuses on raising capital for professionally managed private real estate opportunities, managing full sales cycles, and meeting aggressive capital-raising targets in a consultative, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in consultative sales, preferably in financial services or private markets.

Responsibilities

Our client in the real estate investment space is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Director, Private Capital Markets to join our growing Capital Markets team. This is an individual contributor role focused on raising capital for professionally managed private real estate investment opportunities. Directors manage the full sales cycle—from initial investor conversations through investment completion—while being supported by a dedicated team of Associates who consistently schedule qualified meetings with prospective investors. This role is ideal for an accomplished sales professional who thrives in a consultative, high-performance environment and has experience raising capital, selling investment products, or working within financial services. This is a hybrid role based out of their Vaughan office (4 days a week onsite).

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with accredited and qualified investors.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand investors' financial goals and investment objectives.
• Educise and guide investors through private real estate investment opportunities in a compliant and professional manner.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial meeting through subscription and funding.
• Follow up consistently with prospective investors to maintain engagement and move opportunities forward.
• Leverage inbound digital marketing leads alongside your personal and professional network to generate investment opportunities.
• Partner closely with Capital Markets Associates who proactively schedule investor meetings and support pipeline development.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurately document activity within the CRM.
• Achieve and exceed individual capital raising targets and performance metrics.
• Stay current on market trends, product knowledge, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably within financial services, private markets, wealth management, alternative investments, or capital raising.
• Demonstrated success raising capital or selling sophisticated investment products is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage a long, consultative sales cycle involving multiple investor touchpoints.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality.
• Highly organized with excellent pipeline and time management skills.
• Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
• Completion of relevant securities licensing (or the ability to obtain it) is considered an asset.
