Our client is seeking a visionary Vice President, Institutional Sales to lead the sales strategy and capital-raising efforts for their expanding institutional presence. With a proven track record and entrepreneurial mindset, the VP will create and execute innovative business development strategies.

The Company:Our client is premier Canadian real estate investment and asset management firm with over 15 years of success in acquiring, managing, and operating multi-residential properties nationwide. Their achievements in real estate have laid the groundwork for growth in complementary businesses, enhancing their comprehensive real estate platform. They manage a diversified portfolio with over $2 billion in assets under management. The firm offers a REIT product designed to provide consistent monthly cash distributions and long-term capital appreciation. Additionally the wealth management arm furthers expands their investment capability.

The Opportunity:In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind capital-raising initiatives, utilizing direct-to-institutional channels, industry events, roadshows, and referral networks. You’ll work closely with leadership to scale the business, lead a high-performing sales team, and expand relationships with family offices, small pension plans, wealth platforms, endowments, and foundations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the President, Capital Markets, to structure and lead the Industrial Sales Channel’s strategy, channels, and develop capital partner relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including family offices, pension plans, wealth platforms, endowments, and foundations.
  • Lead presentations, investor roadshows, and networking events to attract new capital as the face of the Institutional Sales division.
  • Scale the business development and sales team for significant growth, including structuring, assessing, and expanding the team to support the firm’s growth.
  • Partner with the firm’s leadership to shape strategic marketing and sales initiatives, including the further development of the institutional marketing strategy.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in capital markets/investment distribution, institutional sales, or external wholesale within asset management.
  • Proven success in raising capital directly from institutional clients and building a strong referral network.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A self-starter attitude with a strong sales focus, capable of establishing trust and credibility while working autonomously.
  • Knowledge of the real estate market, real estate funds, or related private market investments is strongly preferred.
