Job summary
Cadillac Fairview is seeking a Director, Valuations to lead valuations, portfolio benchmarking, and related analytics across Canadian properties. The role involves managing appraisers, coordinating annual appraisals, and driving value through market research and financial modeling in Argus Enterprise and Excel.
The ideal candidate brings a university degree in Finance/Business, CFA/CPA, and at least 10 years in real estate valuation, with strong interpersonal skills and governance liaison
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Business or Commerce combined with CFA/CPA accreditation.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in real estate industry related.
- Strong knowledge of real estate valuation models (Argus), financial analysis and market research.
- Understanding of Valuations, Finance and Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the annual appraisal plan and engage appraisers; coordinate and review annual appraisals.
- Monitor progress of appraisal work against timelines and report status.
- Coordinate flow of detailed budget information from internal sources to external appraisers, auditors and OTPP.
- Perform valuation modeling and sensitivity analysis in Argus Enterprise (AE) and Excel on internal appraisals.
- Research market and maintain database of market comparables; focus on retail, office, industrial, multifamily, hotel and land assets in Canada.
