Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Director, Financial Performance to lead the P&C insurance sector's financial strategy and master plan. You will oversee performance drivers, projections, and cost structure analysis while developing talent and networks to drive results.

You will collaborate with the VP to set direction, manage budgets, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction across sectors. This role features hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Ten years of finance and accounting experience, including 5 years managing specialists and managers.
• Academic specialization in finance, mathematics or actuarial science.
• Professional designation (CPA, CFA or actuarial designation).
• French knowledge required for positions in Quebec; strong English due to duties and tools.

Responsibilities

• Help the vice-president set directions and objectives.
• Develop and implement the administrative department's objectives and mandate based on strategic issues and target results.
• Ensure that action plans for administrative units under your responsibility are carried out, focusing on performance management.
• Establish management and communication practices supporting change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement and diversity.
• Define and oversee activities related to the unit's services and ensure projects maximize business results and client satisfaction.
• Support the sector and its business lines in strategic decisions, performance management, budgets, financial plan and expected results; lead budgeting process.
• Support the business sector by developing cost-benefit analyses to inform decisions.
• Support growth ambitions by developing financial structures or partnerships.
