Director of Store Operations - FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES

The Director of Store Operations manages all aspects of a store’s complex operations. Working with senior leadership, this role involves planning and executing strategies to enhance sales, profitability, and create a positive environment for guests and team members, aligned with Eataly’s mission.

This position reports directly to the VP of Operations and manages the store’s leadership team across Restaurants, Retail, Quick Service, Culinary, and Facilities. It also collaborates with Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources to meet organizational goals.

  1. Collaborate with corporate and global senior leadership to understand company strategy and develop store-specific operational plans aligned with business objectives.
  2. Oversee daily store operations, ensuring standards are met in guest service, financial performance, safety, and efficiency.
  3. Lead management of labor, costs, inventory, regulatory compliance, pricing, and merchandising.
  4. Manage the store operations budget, implementing cost control measures while maintaining quality standards.
  5. Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate and improve store performance.
  6. Analyze sales data, guest feedback, and other metrics to inform decisions.
  7. Foster interdepartmental collaboration and communicate regularly with store leaders on performance and initiatives.
  8. Serve as the final decision-maker for store-related issues.
  9. Motivate and develop the team by setting expectations and leading by example.
  10. Partner with HR on hiring, performance reviews, and terminations.
  11. Represent the store within the community and to guests.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or retail environment
  • Passion for Italian food and hospitality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities
  • Experience with Italian cuisine and wine is highly preferred

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000.
