Clutch is looking for an experienced Director of Public Relations for an in-house client of ours.

Responsibilities :

  1. Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to achieve company goals and enhance brand visibility.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of PR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  4. Oversee the development of compelling press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials.
  5. Manage crisis communications and develop strategies to protect and enhance the company's reputation.
  6. Identify and execute paid media deals and integrations to maximize brand exposure.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with entertainment writers and secure coverage in entertainment media.
  8. Implement strategies for pitching goods / services through linked affiliates.
  9. Measure and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns, providing regular reports to senior management.
  10. Manage the PR budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure consistent messaging.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in public relations within an agency setting, with a focus on CPG, Food & Beverage, Sports, Entertainment.
  • Proven success in securing high-profile media placements and managing complex PR campaigns.
  • Extensive experience working with Fortune 500 brands or household-name clients.
  • Strong relationships with top-tier media outlets and journalists.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
  • Knowledge of paid media and integrations.
  • Experience with affiliate marketing and pitching goods / services through linked affiliates.
  • Agency experience at a top-tier PR firm preferred.
  • Client-side experience working with a big-name brand or organization.
  • Experience working with entertainment media.
