Job Description

As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Director of Product Design to lead our Product / UX design team and shape the future of user experiences across Vention’s ecosystem, from 3D design to automation workflows and machine operation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and scale the UX function across Vention’s software platform, setting a high bar for design quality, usability, and user-centered innovation.
• Own the UX strategy, aligning it with Vention’s product roadmap, brand identity, and overall company vision.
• Build and mentor a team of UX and UI designers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative culture.
• Champion user-centered design practices, incorporating user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform product development.
• Lead by example through active design work, especially in early concept development, complex UX flows, or areas requiring cross-functional alignment
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure cohesive and delightful user experiences across web, and physical products.
• Advocate for design in strategic discussions at the leadership level, helping influence product and business decisions through the voice of the user.
• Continuously evolve our design processes, tools, and systems to support scale, agility, and consistency as the company grows.
• Shape and elevate Vention’s design system, ensuring scalability, coherence, and accessibility across all user touchpoints.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in UX or Product Design, with 5+ years leading and growing design teams in high-performing, fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record delivering outstanding UX for complex web products or platforms (experience in industrial automation, CAD, or hardware-software interfaces is a plus).
• Experience in design thinking, user research methodologies, and information architecture.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and coach a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills; able to represent the voice of the user and advocate for design at the leadership table.
• Expertise in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and collaboration platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, or a related field.
