Job summary

Muskowekwan Child & Family Services (MCFS) seeks a Director to lead operations, reporting to the Board. This role requires strong interpersonal, management, strategic, and financial skills to ensure policies meet the needs of children and families.

You will oversee policy development, budgeting, fundraising advocacy, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance while maintaining strong governance and culturally appropriate service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Social Work or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years senior management experience in child protection/prevention within First Nations communities.
  • Experience with culturally appropriate service models and First Nations governance structures.
  • Demonstrated staff management, mentorship, and coaching skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and report writing.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead staff, prioritize demands, and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel, work flexible hours, provide on-call services, and possess a valid drivers license.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary and benefits will be based on the MCFS salary grid, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
