Job summary

Aviso Wealth Inc. is seeking a Director, Manager Research & Oversight to lead the manager research function for NEI Investments and MAP.

You will oversee due diligence, sub-advisor oversight across public, private markets and liquid alternatives, and drive analytical capabilities to support platform growth. You will lead a high-performing team, strengthen relationships with external managers, and provide investment insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, science, math or quantitative field.
• CFA charter holder.
• CAIA or CPA designation is an asset.
• Master’s degree in business/finance is an asset.
• 8-10+ years in investment research within asset management or wealth management.
• Demonstrated people leadership and team development.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with external investment managers.
• Ability to lead investment teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Advanced analytics tools: eVestment, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Copilot, FactSet.
• Fluent English; bilingual French is an asset.
• Experience researching global institutional strategies; multi-asset knowledge.
• Experience with large data sets and quantitative techniques (Python).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Manager Research & Oversight team across multiple markets.
• Drive the research agenda, investment process, and performance monitoring.
• Provide thought leadership on manager selection and asset allocation.
• Conduct ongoing manager due diligence and assess new/existing strategies.
• Present evidence-based conclusions to senior leadership.
• Monitor products and identify optimization opportunities.
• Align research strategy with organizational goals and industry innovation.
• Provide investment insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
