Role Overview:

We are seeking a Director of M&A Corporate Development, a proven numerate leader capable of sourcing and scaling Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) prospects from lead to offer stage. You will manage a high-performing business development team of up to fifteen professionals and drive acquisition pipelines across multiple vertical markets. This high-impact, autonomous role is ideal for a true Player-Coach working with senior leadership.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage, mentor, and expand a team of Corporate Business Development Professionals.
  2. Source, build, and nurture relationships with decision-makers in software companies.
  3. Drive M&A opportunities from origination to offer and coordinate with our M&A team.
  4. Maintain a pipeline of prospective sellers.
  5. Optimize CRM and sourcing operations (Salesforce-driven).
  6. Strengthen relationships within our current network of acquisition prospects.
  7. Represent Harris’ investment philosophy.
  8. Travel up to 10-25% may be required.
Qualifications:
  1. At least 3 years experience in M&A sourcing, corporate development, technology sales, banking, or investing.
  2. Proven leadership in building and managing successful teams.
  3. Exceptional relationship-building skills to open and maintain doors.
  4. Strong business acumen, understanding financials, growth levers, and software company valuation.
  5. Hustle: ability to move quickly, prioritize effectively, and own outcomes.
  6. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or startup experience is a plus.
