Job summary

Carry The Kettle Nakoda Nation seeks a qualified Maintenance Manager to oversee housing, facilities, and community infrastructure. You will lead maintenance staff, plan repairs, and ensure compliance with safety standards and nation policies.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience, knowledge of budgeting and project coordination, and a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license. Occasional after-hours work may be required, with a mix of office and field duties.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, diploma, or trade certification in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in maintenance, construction, housing, facilities, or public works.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, project coordination, budgeting, and applicable legislation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence.
  • Criminal Record Check is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and support maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Conduct inspections of housing units, buildings, and community facilities.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and recommend capital improvements.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventories, and maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Nation policies.
  • Prepare reports and provide operational updates to management.
