Placements24 is partnering with a premier golf facility in Kimberley, Northern Cape, seeking an experienced Director of Golf Operations to lead all aspects of the golf experience, including course maintenance, pro shop operations, club events, and member services.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Golf Management or related field, with at least six years in golf operations, proven P&L, budgeting and forecasting skills, and a track record of revenue growth and exceptional

The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the golf experience, including course maintenance, pro shop operations, club events, membership services, and staff management. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the golf course and clubhouse facilities.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the golfing experience and increase revenue streams.
• Manage the pro shop, including inventory, merchandising, and sales activities.
• Supervise and train golf professionals, course marshals, starter staff, and caddies.
• Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new members and increase rounds played.
• Manage tournament operations, from planning and scheduling to execution and post-event analysis.
• Ensure the highest standards of course conditioning and maintenance in coordination with the course superintendent.
• Oversee the membership services, ensuring member satisfaction and retention.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control measures for all golf operations.
• Maintain strong relationships with members, guests, staff, and vendors.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Golf Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in golf operations management, with a strong understanding of club dynamics.
• Proven experience in P&L management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Excellent knowledge of golf course operations, turf management principles, and rules of golf.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in marketing, sales, and event management within the golf industry.
• PGA/LPGA certification or equivalent professional qualification is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of a golf facility in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
