Job summary

Red Deer Polytechnic seeks a Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for the REAL Entrepreneurship Activation Lab. This role reports to the Donald School of Business and drives campus-wide entrepreneurship initiatives, program delivery, and measurable outcomes aligned to the 2030 Strategic Plan.

It includes supervision, fund development, and early Entrepreneur-in-Residence duties. The Director will foster collaborations with industry and alumni, build sustainable funding, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience including staff supervision or engagement with volunteers

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and governance for REAL programming and center operations
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, resource allocation, and performance metrics
• Develop and manage partnerships with industry, alumni, government and community partners
• Lead fundraising, grants, sponsorships, and revenue-generating initiatives
• Develop programming delivery, including events, seminars, bootcamps and pitch competitions
• Support student ventures with mentorship and access to funding opportunities
