The Digital Design and Delivery (DDD) division is the Government of Alberta’s centre of digital delivery. It partners with ministries to design simpler, faster, and better services; build capability and confidence in modern digital practices; and assure service quality and value through standards and controls. Multidisciplinary product teams are assigned priority Government of Alberta projects and employ an agile, product-oriented approach in providing solutions for ministry partners.
Within Digital Design and Delivery, the Software Delivery Branch provides architectural leadership, CloudOps, DevOps practices, AI engineering, and software delivery excellence across product and platform teams. We shape how digital solutions are designed, evolved, and governed, balancing innovation with reliability, security, and public sector responsibility.
Reporting to the Director, AI Technical Renewal, this position plays a leadership role in the design and implementation of AI software solutions. The role explicitly requires strong AI capability, and we are seeking developers who can build, integrate, and optimize AI-driven solutions as a core part of their software engineering practice. This position leads and contributes to iterative, continuous development practices where requirements and solutions evolve through close collaboration with cross-functional teams and users.
