Role & Responsibilities

Step into a newly created, high‑impact leadership role that will shape the digital future of EMS‑Tech worldwide. As the Director – Digital & Data, you will lead the strategy and operations of our global technology ecosystem—driving innovation, security, and efficiency across all locations.

You’ll oversee everything from IT infrastructure and cybersecurity to enterprise applications, cloud environments, data governance, and digital innovation. This role is central to aligning technology with EMS‑Tech’s global business goals and accelerating our digital transformation.

In this position, you will champion best practices in AI, cybersecurity, networking, cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, and IT project governance—ensuring our systems are modern, secure, and future‑ready. This is a unique opportunity to build and elevate a global technology function in a company where digital leadership truly matters.

Here are some of the things you’ll be working on:
  • Lead the global IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational excellence, intellectual property protection, and long-term growth.
  • Oversee infrastructure operations including networks, servers, cloud environments, communication systems, and end‑user support.
  • Maintain high system availability, performance, and scalability across all global locations.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for AI, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, IT governance, and data governance.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to advance business intelligence, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of company data assets.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and complex IT initiatives.
  • Drive digital innovation and support the implementation of enterprise applications and resource planning systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage incident response, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executives, board members, frontline employees, and IT professionals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent business education is an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
  • Proven success leading digital transformation and delivering technology-enabled business value.
  • Experience implementing and managing resource planning systems across business functions.
  • Background in secure and responsible AI implementation is an asset.
  • Strong decision-making skills, project portfolio management experience, and the ability to manage budgets and complex initiatives.
  • Functional understanding of business application programming, infrastructure, APIs, databases, and system design.
  • Technical exposure to cloud technologies, IoT, Azure, SQL, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 Dynamics.
