Director of Analytics, Performance Intelligence

We are looking for you or maybe someone you know… Edelman Data & Intelligence (DxI) is seeking an inspiring Director of Analytics, Performance Intelligence to join our team. The role focuses on providing insights and consultative support to our account teams to help drive business results for our clients.

Reporting to the Head of DXI Canada, the successful candidate will be a proven strategic research professional with experience in quantitative (e.g., campaign analysis, sophisticated reporting, statistics) and qualitative (e.g., surveys, social trends) methodologies, as well as predictive and prescriptive analytics, contributing to the growth of our DxI specialty.

You should have a solid research background, strong skills across the project lifecycle (scoping, costing, data & analytics, web analytics including GA4 and Adobe, project execution, data analysis, reporting, and presenting). You will leverage your experience to develop innovative research methods and uncover insights that inform business and marketing decisions for our clients. Organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, and a positive attitude are essential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support collection, aggregation, and analysis of digital marketing data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  2. Manipulate, analyze, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources, including native media platforms and third-party data sources.
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of paid and owned media campaigns.
  4. Develop KPIs, benchmarks, and measurement frameworks for campaign planning.
  5. Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
  6. Develop and maintain attribution models to assess marketing impact.
  7. Create and oversee dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks for stakeholders.
  8. Deliver actionable insights to improve channel performance and budget allocation.
  9. Present reporting findings as a storyteller, linking insights to client strategies.
  10. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive business forward.
  11. Maintain diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices.
  12. Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and platform updates.
  13. Work with Performance Marketing, Digital Strategy, Creative, and Planning teams to inform measurement strategies.
  14. Participate in meetings and be comfortable in client-facing roles.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or graduate degree in communication, advertising, marketing, business, statistics, mathematics, or similar.
  2. 6+ years of relevant experience in performance marketing, digital media, advertising, or research.
  3. Understanding of data analysis, digital advertising metrics, data collection methodologies, and digital/performance marketing concepts.
  4. Expertise in analyzing and communicating media data and campaign results.
  5. Proficiency with web and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  6. Ability to work independently with large datasets across multiple sources.
  7. Knowledge of cross-channel analytics, web analytics, ad-serving, and data management platforms.
  8. Familiarity with attribution methodologies and media mix modeling.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools preferred.
  11. High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
