Job summary

Schlegel Villages in Ottawa is seeking a Director of the PAL Kinesiologist to lead the Program for Active Living (PAL) across the village. This permanent, full-time role starts Fall 2026/January 2027, requiring a Kinesiology degree and College of Kinesiologists of Ontario registration.

You will shape policies, coordinate with LHIN and therapy providers, and lead PAL staff and students with a focus on compassionate care and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Degree in Kinesiology with focus on exercise rehabilitation.
• Member in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
• Experience leading PAL programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for development and evaluation of PAL program policies and programs.
• Lead PAL programs and projects including restorative, falls, care conferences, and research to practice initiatives.
• Coordinate with LHIN regarding OT/PT services and external therapy providers.
• Provide leadership to PAL Coordinator(s) and support PAL Students, Volunteers and contracted therapy services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
