Job summary

Humber River Health in Toronto's northwest region seeks a Senior Nursing Leader to guide professional practice across the hospital's campuses. This role leads strategy development, standard-setting, and performance improvement to ensure safe, efficient patient care and strong outcomes.

You will oversee clinical standards, RNAO best practice guidelines, and BPSO designation, drive change management, and collaborate with physicians, support services and Human Resources.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ten (10) years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
• Ten (10) years of leadership experience in an acute care hospital.
• Knowledge of clinical research, education, policy administration and professional standards improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership oversight in developing plans and strategies to optimize service and effect organizational change; establish, implement, evaluate, and improve changes in professional clinical standards of practice.
• Prioritize resources aligned with organizational priorities; identify research and clinical trends with HR and regulatory colleges.
• Oversee resolution of adverse events and near misses; collaborate with Senior Management to address issues with broad impact; exercise judgement on complex service delivery issues.
