Farber Debt Solutions (https://www.farber.ca/) is one of Canada's oldest, most respected, and largest debt solution providers. Established in 1979, with over 45 years of experience and 300+ employees across the country, they have helped over 200,000 Canadians manage their debt. As they enter their next growth phase, they seek experienced, energized, and agile marketers to help transform their go-to-market strategies and disrupt their industry to better serve Canadians in need.

The Director, Marketing Communications will lead the development and management of brand strategy and communications plans, utilizing consumer insights to differentiate Farber, expand reach, and drive demand. This role involves partnering with the VP of Marketing, being a key member of the Marketing Leadership team, and collaborating with broader leadership. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive advertising strategies, leading client marketing efforts to increase engagement and reduce churn, and acting as Farber’s Brand Champion to evolve and protect the brand. The role requires overseeing multiple high-profile projects and managing a high-performing team.

To qualify, candidates should possess:

• Experience in traditional marketing and communications within fast-paced, entrepreneurial organizations
• Strong leadership skills, including recruiting, mentoring, and developing teams
• Knowledge of consumer finance marketing, including financial literacy and wellness challenges in Canada
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder influencing skills
• A data-driven, results-oriented mindset with experience analyzing results and creating action plans
• Proven success in developing and executing brand strategies and campaigns across platforms
• Experience managing ad campaigns and content strategies in analytical environments
• Success in customer marketing strategies that enhance engagement and reduce churn
• Awareness of current marketing trends and a test-and-learn approach
• Understanding of strategic marketing, brand reputation, and public relations
• Creative and strategic thinking with a curiosity-driven mindset
• Experience with Cause Marketing is a plus
