Job summary

Groupe Dynamite, a Montréal-based fashion retailer, seeks a Director of Maintenance and Facilities to lead the nationwide maintenance and facilities function and drive expansion across international sites.

You will partner with Store Development, Leasing, Finance, and Procurement to set strategies, manage budgets, and build a high-performing team ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; field flexible.
• Significant multi-site maintenance/facilities operations experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Solid understanding of maintenance/facilities processes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to support global expansion, including coordinating internal/third-party support for new sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and facilities across all locations, including new international sites, from planning through completion.
• Set project timelines, budgets, and resource plans; adjust to hit milestones.
• Resolve issues quickly to limit delays and costs; arrange support for new or remote sites.
• Lead and develop the Maintenance and Facilities team, including managers and technicians.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews; foster growth.
• Manage budgets within approved parameters; track spend and identify savings.
• Approve and manage vendor and supplier contracts; ensure quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations; obtain permits.
