Job summary

CI Financial is seeking a Director of M&A Operations in Toronto to lead the execution of book purchases and Canadian Wealth M&A integrations from close to successful onboarding. You will coordinate Finance, Legal, Compliance, Sales, HR, and other teams to deliver on integration roadmaps and milestones with a focus on efficiency and risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in complex cross-functional initiatives, especially M&A, and can translate strategy into actionable

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives, integrations, or large-scale M&A projects.
• Experience in wealth management or regulated financial services preferred.
• Strong project management, influence, and execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the M&A and book purchase execution framework from planning through integration completion.
• Lead cross-functional transaction teams across Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Technology, HR and Sales.
• Governance and reporting: steering committees, executive updates, risk/issue tracking and decision support.
