Job summary

DUCA is seeking a Director of Process Excellence & Automation to lead DUCA’s Centre of Excellence and advance continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The role partners with internal and external stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements that boost efficiency and member experience.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in business, 5+ years leading process excellence and automation teams, and experience managing large transformation programs.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA an asset.
• Minimum 5 years leading process excellence and automation teams.
• Experience managing large/medium-scale transformational projects.
• 3–5 years of people management experience.
• Experience in Lean or continuous improvement environments.
• Knowledge of automation tools and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives to drive business goals and programs.
• Act as transformation champion with knowledge of AI trends.
• Establish and lead the Centre of Excellence.
• Manage CoE intake and prioritize opportunities.
• Recommend applications to support automation needs.
• Lead cross-functional teams through design, development, testing and deployment of automation.
• Partner with leaders to simplify processes and ensure proper controls.
• Develop strategies and plans for process excellence projects including training.
• Facilitate training, assess readiness for change, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Manage project portfolio and prioritization.
• Lead Lean across DUCA with kaizen workshops and value stream management.
