Job summary

La Maison Simons, headquartered in Quebec City, seeks a strategic data and analytics leader to shape the vision for data governance, BI, and AI across the enterprise. This senior role reports to the CIIO and drives priorities, investments, and large-scale transformation to fuel business growth.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in IT/Analytics with leadership experience and fluency in English and French, enabling collaboration with diverse teams and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, or related field; Master’s considered an asset.
• Minimum 15 years in IT/Data/Analytics with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience in data governance, BI, analytics, or enterprise data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern data tech, AI, and enterprise data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute data management, governance, and data value strategy for high-quality, trusted enterprise data.
• Lead Data, Business Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Advance analytics platforms, dashboards, and KPIs to support decision-making and operational excellence.
• Develop and execute the AI roadmap to enhance operations and create measurable business value.
• Advise the CIIO and business leaders on data strategy, analytics, tech investments, and priorities.
• Manage partnerships with technology vendors and service providers while supervising budgets.

The person in this role provides strategic leadership in maximizing the value of enterprise data and advancing Simons' analytics capabilities. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Information & Innovation Officer (CIIO), this individual defines the vision, strategy, and priorities for data, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence to support informed decision-making, innovation, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the organization's data management, governance, and data value strategy to ensure high-quality, trusted, and accessible enterprise data.
• Lead the teams responsible for Data, Business Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the evolution of enterprise analytics platforms, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decision-making and operational excellence.
• Develop and execute the organization's Artificial Intelligence roadmap by identifying opportunities to enhance operations, improve efficiency, and create measurable business value.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Information & Innovation Officer (CIIO) and business leaders on data strategy, analytics, artificial intelligence, technology investments, and strategic priorities.
• Manage relationships with technology partners, specialized vendors, and service providers while overseeing departmental budgets and strengthening internal organizational capabilities.

Desired Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is considered an asset.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Data, or Analytics, including at least five (5) years in a management or senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in data governance, business intelligence, advanced analytics, or enterprise data platform management.
• Strong understanding of modern data technologies, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Experience leading organizational transformation initiatives and managing technology partners and specialized vendors.
• Proven leadership skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to influence business decisions and drive organizational change.
• Recognized for delivering business results, creating measurable value, and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
