Job summary

Spirit Omega Inc. is seeking a Director of Northern & Indigenous Health to lead national initiatives advancing First Nations, Inuit and Métis health and northern health equity.

You will partner with Indigenous communities, governments and health organizations to co-design solutions and drive culturally safe care. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee program delivery and budgets, and foster learning across teams while advancing reconciliation and data governance

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Indigenous health, health sciences, health policy, health administration, public health or related field.
• At least seven years of senior-level experience, including five years in a leadership role.
• Substantive experience in Indigenous health, health services and/or health policy.
• Experience building partnerships with First Nations, Inuit and/or Métis governments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Northern & Indigenous Health portfolio.
• Lead programs and initiatives advancing Indigenous and northern health, cultural safety and quality of care.
• Champion truth and reconciliation and support organizational learning and Indigenous engagement.
• Oversee development and delivery of educational programs, workshops and resources.
• Lead program evaluation and continuous quality improvement to ensure impact.
• Provide strategic leadership and advise senior leadership on portfolio direction.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing team and manage budgets and resources.
