Job summary

SFU Medical School in Surrey, BC, seeks an Associate Director of Indigenous Health Stewardship to lead Indigenous health education, reconciliation, and community engagement. You will integrate Indigenous knowledge into curricula, support learners, and foster partnerships with Indigenous communities, Elders, and organizations.

The role requires a strong strategic leader who can mentor staff and build collaborations across universities, Indigenous institutions, and government agencies to advance

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or relevant discipline with seven years of related Indigenous education experience.
• Experience in Indigenous education, curriculum development, and program implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in Indigenous health education and reconciliation.
• Lead curriculum integration of Indigenous knowledge and educational operations.
• Strengthen Indigenous learner recruitment, support, and partnerships with communities.
• Mentor staff, manage recruitment and performance evaluation in collaboration with partners.
