Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with a multinational manufacturing organization in the search for a Director of Human Resources. Based out of the Winnipeg facility, the successful candidate will shape people strategy at a dynamic, growth-focused site.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Partnership

• Serve as the primary HR leader for the site, shaping and executing people strategies aligned with business goals.
• Work alongside the leadership team to influence workforce planning, business performance, and long-term priorities.

Organizational Effectiveness & Change

• Lead site-level change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Diagnose organizational issues and implement solutions to strengthen communication, alignment, and collaboration.
• Support evolving organizational structures, processes, and workforce design.

Leadership Development & Talent Management

• Coach leaders to build capability and drive performance.
• Lead talent reviews, performance management, succession planning, and development planning.
• Identify and develop high-potential talent for critical roles.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Oversee hiring strategies and workforce planning to ensure the right talent is in place.
• Partner with leaders to address talent gaps through hiring, development, or internal movement.
• Support career development and role alignment conversations.

Employee Engagement & Relations

• Lead engagement initiatives to strengthen culture, retention, and morale.
• Foster a positive employee relations environment and collaborate on complex ER matters.
• Provide balanced guidance on performance management, discipline, and transitions.

Total Rewards & HR Operations

• Partner with Compensation to ensure fair and market-aligned practices.
• Support annual salary planning and year-end cycles.
• Ensure HR processes, documentation, and compliance requirements are met.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years leading HR teams.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership, drive culture, and lead HR strategy in a fast-moving, matrixed organization.
• Strong business acumen, analytical capability, and comfort making decisions in complex situations.
• Exceptional coaching, communication, relationship-building, and change-leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and CPHR designation (or equivalent)
