Lake of the Woods District Hospital (LWDH) in Kenora, Ontario, seeks a Director, Design and Construction to lead Northwestern Ontario’s flagship healthcare infrastructure project—a new 350,000 sq ft hospital and campus designed to serve generations. Reporting to the VP, Capital Redevelopment, you will drive planning, design, approvals and opening-day execution with partners and Indigenous communities.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in major capital planning, design, construction or project delivery.
• Leadership of major healthcare/public infrastructure projects, ideally $300M+.
• Strong technical expertise in design, construction, procurement, contracts, controls, budgets, scheduling, risk and commissioning.
• Experience with public sector procurement models (P3/AFP, Design Build, DBF, Integrated Project Delivery).
• Knowledge of government approvals, Infrastructure Ontario, Ministry of Health, building codes and procurement.
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management and team development.
• Experience with Indigenous communities on complex infrastructure projects.
• Strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, resilience and decisiveness.
• Credibility with consultants, contractors, regulators and governance bodies.
• Collaborative leadership grounded in integrity, accountability and reconciliation.
• Ability to thrive in complex, high-pressure environments with competing priorities.
• Motivation by public service and delivering a lasting community legacy.
