Job description

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Director of Engineering to lead our AI & Innovation efforts within the Digital Technologies group in Wealth & Asset Management Technology area! This strategic leadership role will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-impact AI use cases, accelerating adoption of platforms like Copilot Studio, and enabling intelligent automation across the enterprise.

You will guide collaborative teams in developing AI solutions from concept to production, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards!

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers to develop AI solutions and complete use cases across business units like Wealth Management, Marketing, Risk/Compliance, and Operations.
  • Drive Copilot Studio enablement and adoption, including governance, training, and integration with enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, product, and business teams to translate strategic AI opportunities into scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Develop and manage delivery roadmaps, sprint plans, and resource strategies to support AI initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions meet financial services regulatory standards, including data privacy, model governance, and auditability.
  • Champion agile delivery practices, DevOps, and continuous improvement across the AI portfolio.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on delivery progress, risks, and business impact.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and technologies relevant to financial services and enterprise innovation.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in technical delivery leadership, with at least 3 years in AI/ML or intelligent automation.
  • Deep understanding of financial services operations, regulatory landscape, and risk management.
  • Prior experience as a hands-on developer, since this role would require rolling up the sleeves and contribute to the design and solution.
  • Proven success in delivering AI solutions at scale, including LLMs, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI, or similar technologies.
  • Strong experience with enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and data integration.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and collaborator management skills.
  • Experience managing multi-functional teams and vendor partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Salary range is expected to be between

$110,530.00 CAD - $205,270.00 CAD
