Job summary

Sun Life Financial seeks a Director, Domain Enterprise Architect to lead modernization and cloudification of on‑premises estates. You will shape domain strategy, reference architectures, and roadmaps across OpenShift, virtualization, servers, OS, databases, and storage.

Collaborate with executives to balance risk, cost, and regulatory needs. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in enterprise architecture, deep cloud experience, and strong executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive architecture experience.
• Experience designing enterprise cloud architectures and migration.
• TOGAF/IASA or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-enabled automation projects for modernization and migration planning.
• Define target architectures, transition roadmaps, and retirement plans.
• Collaborate with technology executives and architects to align migrations with priorities.
• Govern architecture decisions with security, resilience, and compliance considerations.
• Provide leadership across cloud infrastructure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and related services.
