By collaborating and innovating together, our employees are creating industry‑leading solutions in insurance, primary care and emergency medical services that impact millions of lives in Canada each year. Our mission is to improve the wellbeing of Canadians so that every life can be lived to the fullest — and it’s reflected in our award‑winning culture. We celebrate individuality and value the diverse perspectives and skills our employees contribute. We go beyond providing competitive pay and comprehensive benefits to offer opportunities for personal and professional growth, flexible work options, meaningful experiences, and supportive leadership. Medavie is where employees can be their best selves, feel they belong, and achieve their full potential.

The Opportunity Medavie is seeking an enterprise‑minded leader to shape and advance our Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (DAA) agenda. Reporting to the EVP of the Enterprise Transformation Office, you will set strategic direction, establish the governance model for enterprise DAA decisions, and help ensure investments translate into measurable business outcomes. In this leadership role, you will work across Business Lines, Technology, Risk, Privacy, Legal and executive leadership to create a consistent approach for identifying, prioritizing, governing and measuring DAA opportunities. You will bring clarity to decision rights, forums, escalation pathways, prioritization criteria and strategic guardrails, while building alignment around a practical, scalable and responsible enterprise direction. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, sound judgment and the ability to influence across a complex organization. You will connect enterprise ambition to execution, strengthen value‑based decision‑making and foster a culture of responsible innovation, transparency and accountability.

What You Will Do Define, maintain and execute Medavie’s enterprise DAA strategy and multi‑year roadmap in collaboration with IT, translating strategic objectives into clear priorities, target outcomes, capability requirements and sequencing considerations. Assess emerging technologies, vendor developments, regulatory changes and external practices, and translate them into strategic opportunities or roadmap implications. Establish strategic guardrails to assess DAA opportunities based on enterprise alignment, business value and organizational readiness. Align the DAA portfolio and foundational investments to enterprise ambition, partnering with portfolio intake and key stakeholders to prioritize initiatives. Establish and maintain the enterprise DAA program governance operating model, including decision rights, governance forums, executive decision‑making cadences and escalation pathways. Facilitate enterprise governance forums that review DAA priorities, investment choices, strategic risks, dependencies and trade‑offs. Embed applicable data and AI requirements into governance processes so initiatives are assessed consistently before investment and prioritization decisions are made. Define governance reporting that provides decision‑makers with visibility into strategic alignment, portfolio direction, material risks, key dependencies and value realization. Build strong relationships with executives, business leaders, IT teams and support functions to drive alignment around DAA strategy and governance expectations. Act as a trusted advisor and enterprise subject matter expert on DAA strategy, governance model design, value realization and operating model practices. Drive adoption of governance, portfolio management disciplines and value‑based decision‑making across the organization. Establish meaningful metrics and key performance indicators to monitor strategy execution, portfolio alignment and governance effectiveness, using insights to continuously improve enterprise practices.
