iA Global Asset Management (iAGAM) is seeking a Director, Credit Trading to lead our credit trading desk from Montreal, with flexibility to work from Toronto. The role reports to the Global Head of Trading and collaborates with portfolio managers, analysts, Legal, Operations and Compliance to drive execution and risk management.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years trading credit products, a BA in a related field (CFA preferred), strong communication, and experience with Bloomberg, Candeal,

Responsibilities

• Monitor and execute timely and reliable transactions in US and Canadian credit.

• Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties to access liquidity.

The Vice President, Head of Global Trading is looking for a Director, Credit Trading to join the trading team. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to our team and located in our Montreal, Quebec City or Toronto offices.

Who you’ll work with

The role requires extensive collaboration with portfolio managers, analysts, and cross-functional teams, including Legal, Operations, and Compliance, to facilitate efficient trade execution and portfolio management. The individual will report directly to the Global Head of Trading, work closely with other fixed income traders, and traders in other asset classes.

What you’ll accomplish with us

Here are the main responsibilities:

• Monitor and execute timely and reliable transactions in US and Canadian credit
• Support trading team in order management and operational processes
• Collaborate with the investment management team by sharing market insights
• Coordinate with various departments such as Accounting, Legal and Operations
• Develop and maintain relationships with our counterparties to ensure optimal access to liquidity
• Assist in the development of junior traders
• Support improvements in the trade process including pre/post trade analytics, TCA

What could accelerate your success in this role

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a minimum of 7 years experience of trading credit products and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (advanced degree or CFA preferred).
• Is recognized for their excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Has experience trading FX, Equities, Futures, and Fixed Income products.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of Bloomberg and other trading tools, including Candeal, MarketAxess, and Trumid.
• Brings additional value through coding skills in Python, SQL, and VBA.
