Everest Clinical Research (“Everest”) is a full-service contract research organization (CRO) providing a broad range of expertise-based clinical research services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries worldwide. To support our ongoing success, we seek dedicated, skilled, and customer-oriented professionals to join our team as a Director, Business Development. This role can be remote from a home-based office in the USA in accordance with our Work from Home policies or on-site in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and source new client and project opportunities aligned with Everest’s value proposition.
  2. Research databases to generate new leads and proactively contact potential clients.
  3. Secure new business with existing clients by collaborating with Everest’s client cluster and account leaders to identify opportunities.
  4. Support expansion of services within existing client accounts.
  5. Achieve assigned sales targets.
  6. Represent Everest at conferences and trade shows to promote our services and capabilities.
  7. Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests.
  8. Develop long-term, trust-based relationships with clients by understanding their organization, needs, and competitive landscape.
  9. Present Everest’s capabilities effectively to clients.
  10. Maintain and enhance knowledge of Everest’s services for cross-selling and service expansion.
  11. Ensure appropriate delivery and pricing strategies are proposed to meet client needs.
  12. Collaborate with contracts and proposals teams to develop RFIs and RFPs.
  13. Work with operations and SMEs to prepare project-specific content for bid defenses.
  14. Drive the completion of contractual documents in coordination with relevant teams.
  15. Partner with senior commercial leaders to improve sales processes, develop sales materials, and implement sales metrics for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, business, or related fields.
  2. 6-10 years of experience in business development or sales within the clinical research industry, preferably with a CRO.
  3. Proven success in securing business with pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors.
  4. Strong industry reputation and a broad network of contacts.
  5. Experience leading cross-functional teams to optimize performance.
  6. Excellent people management, communication, and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to travel up to 50% for business purposes.
