Job summary

Scandinavian Building Services is seeking a Regional Director to oversee 12 Walmart sites across Nova Scotia. You will report to the Director of National Accounts and directly manage four Account Managers, guiding operations and client relationships.

This role requires extensive travel (60% locally, up to 10% farther) with weekly and monthly trips, and you may work from home when not visiting sites. Strong leadership, budgeting, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years managerial/ leadership experience with mid-senior level direct reports.
• Traveling throughout the region is a daily part of the position so a valid drivers license in good standing is required.
• Business finance experience including budgeting and forecasting along with the ability to engage and motivate a team
• Post secondary education in business or project management is preferred
• Previous experience in the janitorial field is preferred

• Lead all operational activity within your region through ensuring deadlines are met, developing preventative maintenance methods, building new and improved performance methods and enhanced cleaning techniques and skills
• Communicate with your team to maintain company policies and KPI’s and to resolve any performance issues

• Lead the set up of new accounts and ensure contract terms are maintained for existing accounts
• Travel 60% locally within the region and up to 10% to a larger region

You will be overseeing a portfolio of 12 Walmart sites across Nova Scotia. Travel will include weekly, monthly and occasional overnight (up to monthly, or as required). Business hours are Monday to Friday 6am - 2:30pm with flexibility needed as business needs fluctuate. When not on the road visiting sites, you are welcome to work from the comfort of your own home.

Our interview process:

• 20 minute preliminary phone interview with our Recruiter
• 40 minute to an hour assessment (soft skills and personality)
• 30 minute MS Teams video interview with the Hiring Manager and direct Supervisor for the role
