Director / Associate Director Health and Benefits

Role Overview

As a Health and Benefits Director, you will lead large, high-visibility client engagements involving the design and management of comprehensive health and benefits programs. You will drive strategic initiatives, expand relationships with existing clients, and participate in prospecting new clients. You will serve as a key voice in the marketplace for one of the world’s leading HR consulting firms and contribute to the evolution of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to large, complex clients in designing and managing health and benefits programs, including benefit plan analysis, cost strategies, vendor negotiations, and incorporating specialized health management, absence and disability management, pharmacy, data analytics, and compliance strategies.
• Grow revenue by anticipating client needs, cross-selling solutions, and leading new client pursuits.
• Oversee consultants and project managers in designing and delivering project plans, and present final deliverables to clients.
• Contribute to marketing efforts through speaking engagements, articles, and promoting the company.
• Lead the development of new tools and approaches in health and benefits, collaborating with vendors and clients.
• Demonstrate leadership by managing and mentoring team members.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in designing and managing large group health and welfare plans, preferably in consulting or brokerage.
• Proven ability to generate revenue and manage large client relationships.
• Experience leading global teams and projects.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
• Ability to influence senior management and collaborate across organizational levels.
• Interest in health and welfare plan strategies and developing new tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Availability for regular travel.
• Bachelor’s degree required; provincial Life and Health license required within 180 days of employment.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position at the Director level. Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship is not provided.
