Job summary

Canada Life seeks a Director, Network & Security AI and Automation to lead an engineering function applying automation and AI to network and security products. You will build AI security tooling, establish reusable patterns, and drive secure, scalable operations across private and public clouds.

The role emphasizes leadership, DevSecOps, and advanced observability, with base salary ranges and a strong focus on responsible AI adoption within a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience delivering and supporting enterprise network and security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Network & Security AI and Automation function with roadmap and standards.
• Build a team of practitioners, promote software engineering discipline and learning.
• Partner with product and operations to prioritize automation opportunities.
• Deliver reusable automation for provisioning, testing, deployment, and workflows across clouds.
• Establish IaC, API integration, orchestration, and DevSecOps practices.
• Develop AIOps to improve observability and proactive issue detection.
• Lead AI security tooling and controls across AI environments.
• Define support models, runbooks, and operational readiness with partners.
