Job summary

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly motivated strategic leader to assume the role of Director within the Aboriginal Consultation Unit of the Lands and Consultation Branch. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead planning and program development for the government’s First Nation and Métis Consultation Policy Framework and related initiatives.

You will provide guidance to ministries and Crown corporations on policy, strategy and programs that support the government’s duty

Qualifications

• Several years’ experience as a senior manager.
• Graduate, postgraduate or law degree with emphasis on Indigenous matters, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the government’s First Nation and Métis Consultation Policy Framework, planning and program development.
• Provide advice and guidance to all government ministries and Crown corporations on policy and programs related to the government’s legal duty and policy obligations to consult with Indigenous communities.

Education

Graduate degree / Post-graduate or Law degree (Indigenous matters)
