Job summary

Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) is hiring multiple part-time Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities across Lambton County, including Petrolia. You will assist with daily activities, community participation, and personal care in people’s homes and in the community.

We offer flexible scheduling with part-time rotations, opportunities to pick up additional hours, and a supportive team environment focused on inclusion and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Valid G or G2 class license and reliable vehicle.
• Be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Current certification in First Aid/CPR required.
• Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community.
• Teach and assist with daily supports (meal prep, personal hygiene, appointments, housekeeping, money management).
• Facilitate opportunities for individual skill development, independence, and community participation.

What we are hiring for:

We are currently hiring multiple part-time Direct Support Professionals for our locations across Lambton County. Direct Support Professionals make a difference in people's lives by:

• Providing support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community
• Teaching and assisting with daily supports (ex. assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication administration, appointments, housekeeping responsibilities and money management)
• Facilitating opportunities for individual skill development, independence, personal growth, cultivating relationships in their community and leisure activities as directed by the person

We provide supports in:

Alvinston, Brigden, Corunna, Forest, Petrolia, Sarnia, Oil City, Oil Springs, Watford and Wyoming.

We are also accepting applications for one-to-one support through Passport.

What you will need:

• Valid "G or G2" class license and reliable vehicle
• Be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check

• Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset

Compensation and scheduling:

• $23.59 - $24.28 per hour based on experience
• Part-time - multiple rotations available
• Scheduled a mixture of days, afternoons, and weekends
• Opportunities to pick up additional hours
