Job summary

Karis Disability Services seeks a Direct Support Professional for a temporary full-time position in a Supported Independent Living program in London, Ontario. Responsibilities include assisting adults with daily living skills and community integration, with a focus on person-centered support and safety.

Role requires a full G license, use of a vehicle, and flexibility to rotate days and afternoons, including alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation.
• 12 Months Experience (preferred).
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or related post-secondary education.
• Experience with Behaviour Support Plans and CPI techniques.
• Experience supporting people living within a Supported Independent Living model.
• Full G Driver's license and use of vehicle required.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

Requirements:
