Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help people with IDD complete everyday tasks and achieve goals. Position involves in-home and community care in Hampstead, NC with flexible hours and shifts.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, meal prep, personal care, transportation, and keeping accurate records in the health system. Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

• Transport the client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize the client’s schedule.

Position details: Monday - Friday, various hours and shifts available
Location: Hampstead, NC and surrounding areas with local community travel

Your Role in Our Mission

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing, toiletry and changing diapers; as well as employment support.
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.
