Job summary

Definity offers a Winter 2027 co-op placement in Direct Channel Operations in Toronto. You will develop and maintain operational scorecards and KPIs related to the ADS strategy, and produce regular performance reports for leadership and stakeholders.

You’ll analyze data, perform root-cause analysis, and improve reporting tools while gaining real-world experience in a supportive, collaborative team environment. This role suits an Actuarial/Math student through April 2027.

Qualifications

• Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline; enrollment through April 2027.
• Strong and efficient use of Microsoft Excel, VBA, data analysis, data transformation, pivot tables and report building.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze moderately complex data and provide recommendations.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and organization skills.
• Previous experience in similar or relevant roles is an asset.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and maintain operational performance scorecards and KPIs to monitor operational effectiveness, specifically as it relates to Sonnet's Augmented Digital Sales (ADS) Strategy
• Produce regular operational performance reporting for leadership and business stakeholders, identifying trends and supplying insights and recommendations
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in the reports and scorecards, including performing internal reconciliation where necessary
• Enhance and optimize existing reporting and analysis capabilities, identifying and executing on opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy, or increasing the level of insights and KPIs in our regular reporting tools
• Conduct root-cause analysis to understand performance drivers and optimization opportunities
• Learn to produce various data exhibits and analysis to measure, track and monitor company and industry performance

What you bring:

• Currently enrolled in a university degree program in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant discipline and still actively enrolled until at least April 2027
• Must possess strong and efficient use of Microsoft applications; Excel, VBA, data analysis, data transformation, pivot tables, report building
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze moderately complex datasets, evaluate alternatives, and make practical and creative recommendations
• Must have excellent problem solving, communication and organization skills
• Previous experience in similar or relevant roles is an asset

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
