Job summary

Chartwell Master Care LP in Quebec seeks a Dining Room Supervisor to lead a dining team, ensuring warm, welcoming and outstanding meal services for residents and guests.

You will hire, train, schedule, and inspire staff; maintain safety and regulatory standards; collaborate with kitchen teams to meet dietary needs; address resident concerns; and support events within budget as part of the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum supervisory experience in hospitality, retirement, or healthcare sectors.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and maintain exceptional dining experiences aligned with Chartwell’s Brand Hospitality Standards
• Hire, train, schedule, and inspire dining staff to deliver excellent service
• Ensure safe food handling, regulatory compliance, and company quality standards
• Collaborate with Food Services and kitchen teams to meet dietary needs and preferences
• Address resident and family concerns promptly to enhance satisfaction
• Support special events and manage dining operations within budget as part of the leadership team

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum two years' experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality, retirement, or healthcare sectors
• Completion of secondary school education or equivalent; current First Aid and CPR certificates required
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Well-organized with a focus on delivering quality experiences
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Valid provincial alcohol service and food safety certifications (or equivalent) required
