Job summary

The University of Ottawa invites applications for three Teaching Assistant/ Demonstrator/Lab Monitor positions for Digital Systems I (ITI1100) at the Main Campus for the 2027 Winter Semester. Responsibilities include weekly tutorials, lab supervision, grading, and in-person exam proctoring.

Preference given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent with an A or better; FPGA/HDL experience is valued; bilingual ability is an asset.

Qualifications

• Completed course or equivalent with a mark of A or better.
• Attend a TA workshop if necessary.
• Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position.
• Strong experience with FPGA - Altera development environments and lab instrumentation (DMM, oscilloscopes, function generators).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and give weekly tutorials for Digital Systems I (ITI1100).
• Prepare and supervise labs and mark lab reports/assignments.
• Proctor midterm and final exams.
• Provide consultations to students as needed.
• Assist with course administration and grading duties.
