Job description

Performance Furnishings is an industry leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of office furniture. Our goal is to offer high quality, durable products at affordable prices so that our end users can design the office that they’ve always dreamed of.

As we continue to grow, we’re investing in innovation, including how we create and present our products visually. We’re looking for a designer who’s as passionate about creativity as they are about technology, someone who can harness the power of AI-driven image creation to elevate our print and digital catalogues across our strong group of brands.

We are seeking a Digital Imaging Designer (AI & Visualisation) at our Burnaby, BC location to join our in‑house marketing team and lead the creation of high‑quality, photorealistic product and lifestyle imagery using a blend of AI tools, traditional design techniques, and creative vision. While the position will primarily support Performance Furnishings, this role will also support our other two companies – Source Office Furniture and N9NE Furniture Group. This is a full‑time, permanent position, 100% onsite at our Burnaby Headquarters.

As the Digital Imaging Designer (AI & Visualisation), you’ll play a key role in transforming how Performance produces catalogue and web‑ready visuals, helping us bring our furniture collections to life in inspiring ways.

We Provide:
  • Fun and positive work environment – work in a creative, collaborative environment that values innovation and initiative
  • Be part of a growing, forward‑thinking brand redefining how furniture is visualised and marketed
  • Opportunity for professional growth, including access to AI design and visualisation training
  • Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience
  • 100% paid health and dental benefits plan premiums after a successful 3‑month probation, including a $250 Health Spending Account
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Employee discounts on our products
Main Responsibilities:
  • Generate, enhance, and finalise high‑quality product and lifestyle images for catalogues, web, and print using AI and traditional design tools.
  • Develop creative room scenes, environmental backdrops, and product renders that align with the Performance brand aesthetic.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to ensure all visuals support brand consistency and storytelling.
  • Build and optimise repeatable AI workflows for image generation, editing, and scaling.
  • Retouch, colour‑correct, and prepare final images for print production.
  • Manage and maintain an organised image asset library for efficient reuse and reference.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI and visualisation tools to continuously improve efficiency and quality.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, digital imaging or visual content creation.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing product or lifestyle image creation, ideally within furniture, interiors or consumer goods.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom; Firefly a plus).
  • Hands‑on experience with AI image generation tools such as Midjourney, DALL·E, Runway ML, Leonardo.ai, Nano Banana or Stable Diffusion.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, texture, composition and realism in imagery.
  • Familiarity with 3D modelling or rendering tools (e.g. Blender, KeyShot, Unreal Engine) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of print production standards (resolution, colour profiles, bleed, etc.).
  • Curious, experimental mindset with the ability to balance creativity and precision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Legally authorised to work in Canada.
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience creating visual systems or templates for catalogue production.
  • Background in furniture, interior design or architectural visualisation.
  • Skills in prompt engineering or AI workflow automation.
How to Apply:

Please submit your resume, portfolio and a brief description (or samples) of AI‑generated or enhanced images you’ve created. Show us your ability to bring design and technology together in visually inspiring ways.

Work Schedule:
