We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven Digital Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with social media and web content management, combined with strong project management and writing skills. You will be responsible for executing communication strategies across multiple channels, managing online projects from conception to completion, and ensuring consistent messaging. This role requires a proactive, organized, and adaptable individual.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communications strategies and content for digital channels that align with organizational goals.
  • Create, edit, and distribute clear, engaging, and consistent messaging across multiple platforms, including website, blog posts, social media, and newsletters.
  • Oversee website re-launch project, aligning stakeholders to gather relevant content and drafting website copy.
  • Oversee website content updates and maintenance, ensuring it remains current and accurate.
  • Create and manage landing pages, blog posts, case studies, and other web content.
  • Work closely with web developers and designers to ensure website content is optimized for user experience (UX) and search engine visibility (SEO).
  • Collaborate with leadership, operations, sustainability and other teams to ensure consistent voice and messaging.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to develop a social media calendar, including creating content for posts and coordinating visual content to support.
  • Manage social media channels ensuring content is on-brand, timely, and engaging.
  • Monitor social media trends, identify opportunities for engagement, and optimize content to increase audience engagement and brand awareness.
  • Analyze social media metrics and report on campaign performance to drive improvements and refine strategies.
  • Manage communication projects from planning to execution, ensuring deadlines are met, budgets are adhered to, and objectives are achieved.
  • Champion the ongoing implementation of branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including designers, writers, and external vendors, to deliver high-quality work.
  • Track project milestones, ensure timely delivery, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external communications-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., HR, operations, product teams) to ensure cohesive and unified messaging.
  • Coordinate with media specialists to capture and create multimedia content, such as images and videos, to enhance social media posts.
  • Additional tasks as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, social media, web content management, and project management.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of website content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of online communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French) considered an asset.
